What You'll Do

  • Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff, ensuring high-quality care delivery.

  • Oversee and coordinate resident care plans, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

  • Conduct regular assessments of residents' health status and update care plans as needed.

  • Act as a resource for nursing staff, providing guidance and support.

  • Assist in training and orientation of new employees.

What You'll Do

  • Perform wound care as prescribed by Physician's Orders.

  • Perform wound assessments.

  • Conduct skin and wound assessments on new admissions.

  • Supervise, coordinate, and direct the work of nursing assistants (CNAs).

  • Explains procedures and treatments ordered to gain patients’ cooperation and allay apprehension.

RN MDS Coordinator

As a RN MDS Coordinator your primary responsibility will be to ensure that every patient has an accurate minimum data set (MDS) assessment and work closely with the interdisciplinary team to create comprehensive plans of care after reviewing the patient’s medical record and communicating with direct care staff, the patient’s physician, and family. What You'll Do

  • Complete and submit accurate minimum data set (MDS) assessments on patients.

  • Oversee care plan process including coordination of patient care plan conferences.

  • Ensure Assessment Reference Date (ARD) stays within Medicare & Medicaid guidelines.

Dining Services Director

Berkshire Health & Rehabilitation Center in Vinton is seeking a Dining Services Director for a 180-bed skilled nursing and rehab center. Food brings people together and the dining experience is a key part of the outstanding experience we provide for our patients.

  • Assists the Dining Services Manager in supervising employees that prepare and serve food.

  • Inspects the kitchen, dining area, and equipment to ensure sanitary standards are maintained.

  • Trains employees.

  • Assigns tasks to employees and prepares work schedules.

  • Maintains records on amount and cost of meals, hours worked and may requisition food and supplies. Assists the Dining Services Manager in evaluating employee performance and may interview and recommend new employees.

  • Supervises all employees in the absence of the Manager.

Job qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Must be a high school graduate. Some college education is desirable.

  • Two years satisfactory work experience in food service supervision.

  • Requires frequent lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, stooping, kneeling, etc. and weekend and evening work.
